Accessibility statement
Sinew GmbH operates Trennio and strives to make the app and all associated pages usable by as many people as possible. It is based on the Swiss standard eCH-0059 and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA.
Compliance status
Partially compliant. Some of the requirements have been implemented and measured, others have not yet been tested. There is no formal proof of conformity from an independent body. Below we set out what has been tested and what has not, so that you can form your own view.
Which services this statement covers
- the residents' app at your municipality's address (for example
your-municipality.trennio.ch) - this website trennio.app
- the administration portal for your municipality's staff
What has been implemented and measured
Residents' app
- Colour contrast: An automated test on the live app on 16 September 2026 found no contrast violations on the home view, calendar, drop-off and profile. It was measured with axe-core directly in production.
- Keyboard operation: All areas can be reached without a mouse. Focus order, the skip link to the content and focus within dialogue boxes have been tested.
- Touch targets: Buttons are at least 44 pixels in size, including the close button in dialogue boxes and the notification toggles.
- Typeface: The app uses Atkinson Hyperlegible, a typeface designed for readability.
- Labels: Controls carry labels for screen readers.
- No account needed: The app requires neither sign-in nor registration. There is no login barrier making access harder.
Website and portal
- The legal and information pages use the same typeface and the same tested contrasts as the app.
- In the portal, sign-in and password reset have been tested for contrast and touch target size.
Known gaps
We are aware of the following points, which have not yet been resolved:
- Screen readers have not been tested systematically. A spot check with VoiceOver (Apple) and TalkBack (Android) is still outstanding. The labels are in place, but how they work with screen readers has not been tested throughout.
- The administration portal has not been fully tested on mobile devices. Navigation, forms and contrast on small screens are still outstanding. The portal is designed for work on a computer, the residents' app for the phone.
- Maps. The drop-off point map is a graphical representation. All drop-off points are also available as a list with address and opening hours.
- Your municipality's content. We cannot guarantee the accessibility of texts, images and PDF files that your municipality publishes itself. We test the application, not the content published in it.
How it was tested
- Automated: axe-core, run in the live application, not just in a draft version. Last measurement on 16 September 2026.
- Manual: Walkthroughs using the keyboard only, visual checks of touch targets and focus order.
- Not carried out: an audit by an external specialist body and a test with users who rely on assistive technology.
In our experience, automated tests only find some of the possible barriers. That is why your feedback matters more to us than any measurement.
Report a barrier
If you notice something that makes the app harder to use, write to us. If possible, describe which page it concerns and which assistive technology you use.
Email: info@trennio.app
We will reply within two working days. If we cannot remove a barrier quickly, we will tell you what workaround exists and by when we will address it.
If you are not satisfied with our reply, you can contact your municipality. It is responsible for the service it offers residents and can involve the relevant cantonal body.
